Summer Days at The Wagtail Inn

After what has felt like a very long, wet winter and spring, it has been wonderful to finally enjoy some proper summer weather here at The Wagtail Inn.

The arrival of blue skies, sunshine, and warmer days has meant plenty of time outdoors for our guests. From exploring the beautiful Surrey countryside to enjoying playtime in our secure paddocks, the dogs have been making the most of every moment.

When the temperatures have climbed, we've made sure our four-legged visitors stay cool and comfortable. Paddling pools have been a firm favourite, providing plenty of splashing, fun, and relief from the summer heat. Watching happy dogs cool off in the water while their tails wag non-stop is one of our favourite sights of the season.

The longer evenings have also been a real treat. With daylight stretching well into the evening, we've been able to enjoy relaxed walks through the surrounding countryside before bedtime. The fields around Horsham, Cranleigh, and the Surrey Hills look beautiful at this time of year, with long grass underfoot, wildflowers in bloom, and plenty of interesting scents for curious noses to discover.

Puppy Playtime

Summer has also brought lots of opportunities for puppy playtime. We love helping young dogs build confidence, learn social skills, and burn off some of that endless puppy energy.

Whether they're making new friends, learning good manners, or simply enjoying a game with our team, it's always a joy to watch their personalities develop. The photos from recent weeks capture exactly why we love what we do, happy puppies, happy dogs, and plenty of smiles all round.

A Home Away From Home

One of the things we hear most often from new clients is that they worry about leaving their dog while they go away. We completely understand. Our dogs are family members, and it's natural to want reassurance that they're happy and settled.

That's why we always keep owners updated during their dog's stay. From photographs and videos to quick text messages, we make sure you know how your dog is getting on. Sometimes it's simply a message to say that everything is going well, sometimes it's a photo of your dog enjoying a walk or having a snooze after a busy day of play.

We know how much these little updates mean when you're away, and we love sharing them.

Our aim has always been to provide a genuine home away from home for dogs, offering trusted dog boarding in Surrey where every guest receives plenty of attention, care, exercise, and affection.

Thank You

We feel incredibly lucky to have such wonderful clients who trust us with their dogs time and time again. It means so much to receive your lovely feedback and to know that both dogs and owners enjoy being part of The Wagtail Inn family.

As we move further into summer, enquiries for dog boarding and dog day care in Surrey continue to come in, particularly during the school holiday period. If you're planning a trip and would like to learn more about our services, we'd love to hear from you.

Here's hoping for plenty more sunshine, happy walks, paddling pool fun, and wagging tails in the weeks ahead.
